Advancing Health: Highlights from the Refugee & Immigrant Health Summit
On January 27, 2025, our Refugee Health Unit (RHU) team co-hosted the first Refugee & Immigrant Health Summit, bringing together over 100 community leaders, healthcare professionals, and researchers to address the pressing health needs of refugee and immigrant communities. The event featured powerful discussions on healthcare access, mental health, and housing as a foundational health issue—topics shaped by the lived experiences of community members.
A key highlight was the unveiling of the Blessing Boat Art Project, a symbol of resilience and cultural contributions.
