The mission of CRMis to facilitate and expand the study of population health. We provide training, education, and consulting services that reduce challenges to research for ACTRI affiliates. Examples of consultation topics include study design, data sources, statistical analysis, abstract preparation, grant writing/editing.
CRM emphasizes that population health is shaped by behavioral, psychosocial, political, and economic factors experienced throughout the life course and across generations. The motivating mission of CRM is to facilitate and expand the study of population health.
We provide training, education, and consulting services that facilitates and reduces challenges to research for ACTRI affiliates. Specific attention is given to junior faculty and those who lack formal training in research. Finally, given the expertise of CRM team, we continue to encourage research for those at vulnerable life stages including infants and pediatric populations, pregnant individuals and birthing people, and older adults; and displaced populations, including refugee and migrant populations, people who are incarcerated or detained, and those experiencing homelessness/housing insecurity.
ReCODE Health at UC San Diego is led by Dr. Nebeker. We have partnered with the Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) in developing a course for researchers to design and carry out research involving different populations. Designing Research to Improve Study Recruitment applies the principles of respect for persons, beneficence and justice across the lifespan of a research project. Visit ReCODE Health here.
