Eisenhower Health , which is located in Riverside County and provides health services to most of the rural parts of the Coachella Valley established their partnership with the ACTRI in 2023. Through this partnership, Eisenhower Health has been able to leverage the ACTRI's support and resources to address their research needs to benefit the communities they serve.

ACTRI's Community Research Partnership (CRP) facilitated a voucher program for biostatistics (BERD) to support an Eisenhower radiology investigator, which led to an analysis on the diagnostic performance of screening mammogram in older patients and supported a manuscript recently submitted for the study Breast Cancer Screening Using Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) Among Women Aged 75 and Older.

Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) Center
The BERD Unit supports the mission of the ACTRI to provide research resources, training, and collaboration opportunities for ACTRI scientists, health care providers, and the community. We assist investigators at every stage of the research process to produce results that are rigorous, meaningful, and easy to communicate. We believe that the biostatistician should play an integral role as collaborator and co-investigator.
ACTRI Vouchers
UC San Diego Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) is pleased to offer vouchers for ACTRI research services. These vouchers are designed to support early-stage projects that need preliminary data for subsequent applications for federal or foundation grants and to supplement federally funded studies. They are not cash awards and can only be used for in-kind services, including those related to the clinic, biostatistics, bioinformatics, coordinator, and labs. Services are contingent upon resource availability.
