Registered Sonographer Mina Trivedi
Request CTRI Services
The CTRI Center for Clinical Research has expanded its ultrasound imaging services and now offers a full range of sonography, including cardiac, vascular, general, gynecologic and small parts (i.e. thyroid, breast) ultrasound for clinical trials.
Ultrasounds (or sonograms) use a computer and high-frequency sound waves to create images that are captured in real-time. They are convenient, painless, non-invasive, and yield quick results.
Minaxi Trivedi, a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, is available Wednesday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with some flexibility. She also is a registered cardiac sonographer, a registered vascular technologist, and a registered general ultrasound technologist.
Trivedi uses a Philips PureWave HD15 ultrasound imaging system, with echocardiographic, vascular and general capabilities. The ultrasound unit is connected to a dedicated networked computer. All recordings are stored on a secure server at UC San Diego that is HIPAA compliant. Luis Castellanos, MD, provides medical expertise for the ultrasound service.
Trivedi has more than 25 years of experience as an ultrasound sonographer, including at the University of Arizona and Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, and at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.
Researchers interested in a consultation or who would like to use the service for their clinical trials should complete a service request form.
